THE 5 STAGE LINKEDIN SYSTEM THAT ACTUALLY BOOKS CALLS Most People Only Do Stage 1

I hear this almost every week.

"Kanika, I'm posting consistently. My followers are growing. People are engaging with my content... but I'm still not getting enquiries."

If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.

The mistake isn't that LinkedIn doesn't work.

The mistake is thinking that posting content is the whole strategy.

As a business growth coach, I've realised that LinkedIn isn't a content platform. It's a client acquisition system. And like any system, every stage has to work together. If one part breaks, the whole thing leaks.

Let me show you what I mean.

Stage 1: Positioning

Imagine someone lands on your profile today.

Can they tell, within a few seconds, who you help, what problem you solve and what result you create?

Or does your profile read like a résumé?

I see this all the time. Brilliant coaches and consultants describe themselves with job titles instead of outcomes.

Your profile isn't there to impress people.

It's there to help the right people recognise that you're the person they've been looking for.

Whether you're a business consultant, an online business coach, or a business strategy coach, clarity always beats cleverness.

Stage 2: Content

This is where most people spend nearly all of their energy.

But here's the thing.

More content doesn't automatically create more clients.

The right content does.

Your posts should help someone feel understood. They should make them stop scrolling and think, "That's exactly what I'm struggling with."

Some posts should teach.

Some should challenge how people think.

Some should tell stories.

And yes, some should invite people to work with you.

If every post is educational, people might learn from you for months without ever realising you have something to offer.

Stage 3: Visibility

This is the stage many people forget.

Posting is not the same as being visible.

Think about a networking event.

You wouldn't walk in, give a speech and leave five minutes later.

You'd have conversations.

You'd ask questions.

You'd get to know people.

LinkedIn works the same way.

Commenting thoughtfully on other people's posts introduces your thinking to an audience that's already engaged. Over time, people become familiar with you, and familiarity builds trust.

The other part of visibility is consistency.

If one day you're talking about leadership, the next day about travel, and the day after that about productivity, people don't know what to remember you for.

Focus compounds.

Stage 4: Conversations

This is where audiences become clients.

Content opens the door.

Conversations move people through it.

One of the biggest misconceptions about LinkedIn is that people buy because they read a post.

They don't.

They buy after conversations.

That doesn't mean pitching everyone who likes your content.

It means being genuinely curious.

Ask questions.

Understand what's happening in their business.

Help them think more clearly before you ever talk about your offer.

People buy from people who understand them, not people who rush to sell them.

Stage 5: Closing

Finally, we get to the sales call.

So many people think they're losing sales because their prices are too high.

In my experience, that's rarely the problem.

The real issue is that the prospect hasn't fully connected their problem with the value of solving it.

Your role isn't to convince them.

It's to guide them.

To ask better questions.

To help them see what they're currently missing.

When people reach their own decision, selling feels easy because you're no longer pushing. You're simply helping them find clarity.

That's exactly why I don't teach LinkedIn as a posting strategy.

I teach it as a complete client journey.

Because the goal isn't more views.

It isn't more followers.

It's building a business that consistently brings the right people into your world.

If you are active on LinkedIn, you should be signing 3–7 clients every month, even if you only have 100 followers.
