Aries, ruled by Mars, the planet of war and aggression, is a sign known for its intense energy, courage, and drive. However, when this energy is unbalanced, it can manifest as anger, frustration, or impulsiveness.

This Full Moon is the perfect time to tap into Aries’ fiery energy with a full moon meditation guided to release pent-up anger and embrace renewal and personal growth.

The Mythology and Folklore of Aries: The Ram and the God of War

In mythology, Aries is associated with the Greek story of the Golden Ram, which saved Phrixus and Helle from their wicked stepmother. The ram’s golden fleece later became the object of Jason’s quest in the story of the Argonauts. 

This tale symbolizes courage, protection, and the pursuit of a noble cause—qualities inherent in the Aries spirit.

Aries is also linked to Ares, the Greek god of war, known for his fierce and combative nature. While Ares’ energy can be destructive, it also represents the necessary force that drives action and change. 

The key is to channel this energy constructively rather than letting it turn into uncontrolled rage.

During the Full Moon, emotions often reach their peak. In Aries, these emotions can be especially intense, pushing us to confront anger that may have been simmering beneath the surface. 

This lunar phase is a powerful time for a full moon release meditation, allowing you to let go of pent-up anger and transform it into positive action and personal empowerment.

Rituals to Release Anger During the Full Moon in Aries

1. Fire Release Ritual

  • Materials: A small fireproof bowl, paper, a pen, and a candle.

  • Instructions: Write down everything that has been causing you anger, frustration, or resentment on small pieces of paper. Light the candle and, one by one, burn each piece of paper in the fireproof bowl, visualizing the anger being released with the smoke. As the paper burns, say aloud, “I release this anger and invite peace and renewal into my life.” This ritual helps transform anger into a force for positive change.
